We went to San Francisco for Spring Break a few weeks ago. We headed out early on the Sunday that time changed happened. Let me tell you it is not smart to book a 6 AM flight in the spring when time "springs forward". Actually it is not at all smart. We were so tired , with the time change, the hour drive to the airport, then crossing two time zones. It was still dark when we were waiting to board the plane.
But we landed safely before 8:00 am California time. After getting the rental car we headed out first thing to see the ocean and walk on the beach after sitting down from our non-stop flight.
I just love the ocean, would never want to swim in it or even really get in it but there is just something. I love the view walking along the beach.
This is my favorite picture of Amanda below. I was going to write the date in the beach and take a picture then she started writing this in my way.
After a walk on the beach we headed towards downtown San Francisco. The forecast was for rain off and on the whole week, with this being one of the days with the lowest percentage, we were going to make the most of it.
We headed to Golden Gate Park, to the Queen Wilhemina Garden. A beautiful windmill, with gorgeous spring flowers everywhere.
This is one of the rare times we were to see the sun this trip, and actually it had been raining not 30 minutes before.
We then decided to drive around the city for a while. I had forgotten how steep the city streets are. It is amazing.
The next one is the view looking down as Andy drove down Lombard Street, the famous curviest street in the world.
We then ended up out by the bay walking along the bay the Piers, we saw the Bay Bridge below.
