I just love October, for me it means fall at its best. The leaves turning beautiful colors, cooler temperatures, and a gorgeous blue sky. This all means I just want to be outside more taking pictures.
We headed to Missouri Town, a park around here that has older buildings from around 1855, showing you what a town would have been like then. The parks service puts on one of the many fall festivals around here, with good food, crafts, and music. Boy did we have the perfect fall day for it yesterday.
So many things to look at:
Andy and Lindsey checked out the jellies and jams,
Amanda was fascinated by how they made everything, below a woman showed how they made cottage cheese, they needed everything on this table.
I love to watch them bake something in the fireplace with a dutch oven, make me appreciate my electric stove and microwave at home .
Then we stopped to have some of these, totally unhealthy, but absolutely wonderful curly fries with cheese and a homemade glass of lemonade.
Then a look at some more crafts , walking around a little more, then we left to get Lindsey back in time for work.
And of course enjoying the fall trees everywhere.
